IMPORTANT PROPOSED CHANGE IN STUDENT PM DROP OFF REQUIREMENTS

At the July, 2017 Hamilton Township Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a new Transportation Policy 8605 –Requirements to Meet Students at Bus Stop. This policy provides for the following:

  • All preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students must be met at the bus stop by a person who will be taking responsibility for that student as they depart the bus in the afternoon.
  • Any person who will be taking responsibility for the student must be age 12 or older.
  • The parent/guardian of any student in grades three through eight who rides a special needs van may request that their student not be dropped off without a responsible person meeting them by contacting the Transportation Department
